Antigua Guatemala Wedding Photography – Rock the Dress Session

Words really do seem to fail when introducing this blog post.  So we’ll start at the beginning.  We photographed Brittany & Rodrigo’s wedding at the Postcard Inn in October 2011.  It was a gorgeous wedding for such a sweet couple and Rodrigo’s cousin Fernando was in attendance.  When Fernando and Lorena began planning their Roatan Island, Honduras wedding, they contacted us inquiring about their date and, lo and behold, we were booked for their wedding date.  We were pretty crushed as it sounded like an amazing wedding for a wonderful couple and they seemed to really love our photos so much.  What an incredible surprise we received when Fernando suggested moving their wedding date so that we would be able to photograph their wedding!  Amazing!  We were honored and humbled for so very many reasons.  Fast forward to the day of this session.  Fernando and Lorena live in Guatemala and Fernando’s family has an absolutely incredible vacation home in Antigua, Guatemala.  On the grounds of this stunning home was where we began and ended Fernando & Lorena’s pre-wedding Rock the Dress session.  We were also fortunate enough to have the opportunity to wander the streets of beautiful and historic Antigua, Guatemala for some awesome wedding photos.

The first time Fernando saw Lorena in her wedding gown was not on their wedding day. In fact it was a few days prior to their wedding day. Wait until you see the emotions as she walked down the aisle on their wedding day to dispel any myths that a first look takes away from that moment :)
