Amy & TJ combined elegance and fun for their incredible wedding at the First United Methodist Church & Museum of Fine Arts. The hints of soft pink and purple brought a beautiful pop of color to their classic black & white color palette. The Museum of Fine Arts served as a wonderful backdrop for the reception with amazing artwork and incredible chandeliers. Once the reception was underway…it was clear these people know how to party! We had such a great time with everyone we encountered at this wedding and we were reminded of the importance of laughter and the spirit of fun…yes there may have been some eye patches, fake moustaches, and other disguises floating around :-)

Misha & Stephen dreamed of a wedding filled with vintage romance in shades of plum and gray…and this incredible wedding was that and so much more.  When guests arrived, they typed their names and wishes for the couple into a vintage typewriter “guest book.”  They then found their seats amongst the classic chiavari chairs accented with gorgeous white furniture for special guests.  On each seat was a handkerchief printed with the ceremony program.  After Misha’s tear-filled walk down the aisle, she and Stephen said I do against the backdrop of a fireplace brimming with candles, flowers, and Harvard Classics.  Place cards atop teacup candles showed guests the way to their tables for the reception.  Stunning florals, empty picture frames, milk glass in various shapes & sizes, and glass cake plates comprised unique tablescapes, and a whimsical candy buffet presented in dresser drawers and milk glass satisfied even the most discerning sweet tooth.  What an incredible wedding day for a wonderful couple punctuated with smiles, laughter, tears, and pure elegance.

During the wedding toasts, there was one toast in particular that really stuck with us…it was Ross toasting his new bride.  He recalled the first time they met 15 years ago which to him feels like yesterday.  He recalled their first kiss at the lockers just after school finished.  He recalled their time apart and how it made them appreciate each other that much more.  And when he spoke of Lara, he said she was one of the kindest, most gentle people on earth, and he was so proud to call her his wife.  Lara & Ross’s wedding was the kind of day that reminds us exactly why we love what we do so very much.  They came all the way from the UK to be married in one of their favorite vacation spots, the incredible St Pete Beach.  It was such an amazing honor to witness a couple that is not only incredibly in love but also the very best of friends.  It was also amazing to be around their family who had traveled so far to share this special day with them…a wonderful group of people who have such gratitude for each other and true zest for life.  Besides being generally awesome and sweet and wonderful people, Lara & Ross also stole our hearts since they were all about setting time aside to take some really fun photos on their wedding day.  One of the things they knew they absolutely had to have on their wedding day was sunset photos.  So when it started raining…actually pouring buckets…about two hours before sunset, we could just see Lara’s face drop.  She had traveled so many miles to be married on the beach and then take her sunset photos, and it was pouring.  We kept our fingers crossed that the storm would give way to one of those epic post-storm sunsets, where all sorts of colors dance between every cloud in the sky.  And lo and behold…it did.  It was one of the most incredible sunsets we had ever seen, and it seemed to come along just for Lara & Ross and all of their guests.  And as if the entire day and beautiful sunset weren’t enough, Lara & Ross decided to get into the water just as the sun crossed the horizon….how could we say no to that?? :-)

After spending time with Sara & Erick during their engagement session, we knew this wedding was going to be filled with tons of smiles and laughter. They are such a special couple with warm hearts and sharp wits…you kind of never know what will come next with them but you know it will be fun!! Their wedding day was just amazing, complete with both a gorgeous sunset and a crazy lightning storm. The vintage inspired decor was really beautiful and Heather at Rose Garden really outdid herself this time carrying out Sara’s vision. Her bouquet was a mix of fresh flowers and antique brooches (probably the most elegant and unique bouquet we’ve ever seen!) and the tables were adorned with vintage inspired birdcages dripping with a gorgeous mix of fresh florals and succulents.
