It’s You I Like
by Mister Rogers

It’s you I like,
It’s not the things you wear,
It’s not the way you do your hair–
But it’s you I like.
The way you are right now,
The way down deep inside you–
Not the things that hide you,
Not your toys–
They’re just beside you.

But it’s you I like–
Every part of you,
Your skin, your eyes, your feelings
Whether old or new.
I hope that you’ll remember
Even when you’re feeling blue
That it’s you I like,
It’s you yourself,
It’s you, it’s you I like.

This was one amazing wedding day absolutely bursting with emotion.  During the ceremony at Iglesia Ni Cristo Church of Christ, the sentiment was so evident that it was nearly tangible.  Megan simply could not hold back the tears as she promised to be Eric’s forever.  The reception at Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village was jam packed with joy.  We saw so many amazing performances by Megan & Eric’s family and friends….wow what a talented bunch!!

You may remember Kaitlin & Ben from their amazing engagement session (see here) in Downtown St Augustine. We knew after working with them during their engagement session that we were going to have a seriously amazing time at this wedding! Kaitlin had mentioned to us a couple of times that her father used to be a photographer and was a serious fan of our work which we were ecstatic to hear! Ben also happened to be quite the handyman…he built the altar they stood under as they promised to love each other forever. It was pure joy being near them throughout the day…you just couldn’t avoid the happiness that everyone shared with each other. Kaitlin and Ben were married on the anniversary of her parents’ wedding and to honor them, she passed her bouquet off to her mother in tribute.  And to top it all off, we witnessed some of the most touching & sincere toasts we have ever heard.

Debbie and Luis sang to each other.  They sang. Right there on the altar in whispers so low only the two of them could hear.  They lit the unity candle symbolizing the joining of their lives as they whispered the lyrics to “The Prayer.”  The most striking thing about it was the expressions on their faces…they beamed joy and peace knowing they had found each other.  A masquerade style reception followed the beautiful ceremony and it was so much fun to watch the masked first dance.  After many beautiful speeches toasting the newlyweds, the party really began….and well…let’s just say these people know how to party!

And this was just about the point where the reception devolved into glorious madness :-)

Anna & Gregg’s wedding day was filled with laughter, love, and a hefty dose of southern charm.  They said their vows in the very same church where Anna’s parents were married, carrying on the family tradition in her home town.  The reception was held on the magnificent and pristine property of family friends and we were simply in awe of its beauty.  We had such an amazing time spending the day with a couple who is not only sweet and wonderful and down to earth and completely in love, but also the best of friends.

This is probably the coolest reception entrance we have EVER seen!!!  They arrived by boat :-)
